Layered Taco Salad Recipe



This layered taco salad recipe is a fun and easy alternative for taco night! This simple, filling family-friendly meal will take all your dinner guests south of the border.


Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Seasoned Taco Meat, cooked and chilled
  • 4 cups Bite Sized Salad Greens
  • Kidney Beans (16 oz can, drained)
  • Corn (12 oz can, drained)
  • 1 cup Picante Sauce
  • 1 cup Monterrey Jack or Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • Sliced Olives (10 oz can, drained)
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 Tomato, chopped
  • 1 Avocado, peeled and sliced (optional)
  • Tortilla Chips

Directions:

In a glass serving dish, layer meat, salad greens, kidney beans, corn, picante sauce, 3/4 cup of cheese, and sliced olives. Top with sour cream and chopped tomato, and sprinkle with remaining cheese.

Garnish with avocado and tortilla chips.
