Taco Salad Recipes



You can use these wonderful taco salad recipes to get rid of leftover taco meat and tortillas. My recipe for taco salad is easy to prepare and clean up. You'll really wow your dinner guests when you serve it in an edible taco salad bowl!


Recipe for Taco Salad

Ingredients:

  • Seasoned Taco Meat
  • Lettuce or Mixed Greens (shredded or in bite-sized pieces)
  • Tomatoes
  • Corn
  • Black Beans or Kidney Beans
  • Cheese
  • Salsa
  • Sour Cream
  • Guacamole

Directions:

Place lettuce in a taco bowl. Top with taco meat, tomatoes, corn, beans, cheese, salsa, sour cream and guacamole in amounts of your choice.

Recipe for Taco Salad Bowl

Ingredients:

  • Flour Tortillas
  • Olive Oil

Directions:

Crumple aluminum foil into fist sized balls. Prepare one ball for each tortilla you want to make into a bowl. Place the balls on a cookie sheet.

Spray flour tortillas with olive oil. Drape the tortillas over the balls of aluminum foil, oiled side up.

Place in the oven and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until tortillas are golden brown. Remove pan from oven and allow shells to cool for 5 minutes before filling them with salad.
